HostGator offer a broad range of services, but they’re undoubtedly best known for their well-priced shared hosting plans. They offer three shared hosting services - Hatchling, Baby and Business - and each one steps up the service options and support provision. In addition, HostGator offer reseller plans, VPS hosting and dedicated servers, as well as an affiliate programme.HostGator is a private company. The current CEO Brent Oxley formed the company while he was at university in 2002. Now, HostGator host more than 8 million domains for 400,000 customers in over 200 countries. Originally based in Florida, HostGator’s rapid growth lead them to a move to Texas in 2007. They have a base in Houston and an office in Austin, plus an Indian arm which you can find at http://hostgator.in. Additionally, HostGator have a third office in Brazil which manages http://www.hostgator.com.br. They currently employ 200 people but are expecting to double this in the next couple of years.

I was looking for best reviews on the net and I have read that HostGator was just very good advertised, otherwise "this" host and "that" host were way better, as support and pricing, and wiping you down there, etc. Than I just tried HostGator. I found it the best offer I would have ever imagined, so I made the deal instantly. My host is and will be HostGator. The support is 5 stars, they're very good and quick. I don't think one need anything better than that.

Hostgator Rocks ( Awesome Web host)
well.. I transfer my domain name from Ipage to hostgator hatchling plan last month, hostgator is really awesome web hosting. many times i have problem with wordpress and when i chat with the support team, they answer me fast specially when i had technical problem ( Website Slowness ) for example. Moreover, they give me all the information about the useful plugins that i can install for my website to make it faster.
the ticket on hostgator probably takes about 6-12 hours to reply and they have really great stuff.. and i see this amazing work from them specially when i transfer my website from ipage to hostgator.. they help me step by step how can i change the server name and that will take no longer than 24 hours. and Voila my website is now on hostgator and everything work fine.

I've been with Hostgator a couple of years now, and I was around for the big data center crash, sure, and it was really irritating, but apart from that my up time has been perfect. I run a social media dating website with a relatively complex CMS. Recently, Hostgator upgraded the PHP version on the server and the upgrade was seamless. Their techs secured it. Another hoster I have bungled the same process and brought my site down for a week!
Also, I am engaged in moving other websites to Hostgator, including the other CMS site, and the support has been fantastic. Matter of fact, it's the best support I've ever had and I've been in and out of hosters since 1995. Support counts a lot with me, the difference between making something work or not at all. Also, their WHM and Cpanel interface get top ratings with me. I've never used a WHM system before and the tech person patiently walked me through the process of setting up an account.
Overall, the prices are reasonable IMO. My Cpanel is packed with features, including Wordpress, far outstripping the features I got with Plesk on other servers.
So no complaints from me. But yes, one time I had to wait 20 minutes for a tech support chat, but so what? It was the middle of the day and they were slugged with business. I suppose I'm more tolerant than some. It's all relative.
